Towards an Approach for Filtration Efficiency Estimation of Consumer-Grade Face Masks Using Thermography

نویسندگان

چکیده

Due to the increasing need for continuous use of face masks caused by COVID-19, it is essential evaluate filtration quality that each mask provides. In this research, an estimation method based on thermal image processing was developed; main objective effectiveness different while being used during breathing. For acquisition heat distribution images, a thermographic imaging system built; moreover, deep learning model detected leakage percentage with mAP 0.9345, recall 0.842 and F1-score 0.82. The results obtained from research revealed depended loss through manufacturing material; proposed simple, fast, can be replicated operated people who are not experts in computer field.
